Forensic Processing Station

The Vogon Forensic Processing Station is designed to meet the needs of the serious computer forensic investigation laboratory dealing with large quantities of forensic data on a regular basis. The system is capable of dealing with the largest of forensic processing jobs in an automated manner allowing the investigator to concentrate on the investigation.

Vogon Forensic Processing Station The Forensic Processing Station is a scalable solution. The basic configuration comprises a tape autoloader and Vogon Control Software, together with a powerful Windows 2000 based server system containing extensive on-line storage capacity. Additional storage capacity and other tape autoloaders can be added as modules.

Once a batch of images has been taken using a Vogon imaging system, the data tapes are placed into the autoloader. The Forensic Processing Station software automatically restores the image or image sets to hard disk storage and processes them. The entire operation is logged together with all selected options, thus maintaining a full audit trail. A variety of checksum options can be selected depending upon the required mode of operation.

The Forensic Processing Station can be used in conjunction with the Enterprise Imaging System to further automate the process of image capture and investigation.

The Forensic Processing Station in its basic configuration has the following features:
