Enterprise Imaging System

The Vogon Enterprise Imaging System is designed for the most experienced computer forensic investigators tasked with wide scale imaging at the corporate level. The imaging software has been developed by Vogon over the past decade to offer very high imaging performance together with comprehensive auditing and anti-repudiation techniques. This imaging process is independent of the file system(s) on the hard drive under investigation, and is recognised by courts around the world as the only valid means of capturing computer evidence.

The system attaches to the cabling of the existing network infrastructure via a wide variety of network attachment options. Running on a powerful and scaleable UNIX-based platform, the Vogon Enterprise Imaging System stores the images of the attached remote target workstations to a high-speed tape sub-system. The Enterprise Imaging System together with our Forensic Processing and Investigation Software define the leading edge of computer investigation technology available today.

  • Convenience: Takes advantage of existing network infrastructure.
  • High performance: 32-bit imaging software provides state of the art imaging performance.
  • Password cracking pod: To access data from most password protected 'laptop' hard drives without knowledge of password.
  • Unlimited theoretical capacity: Images can span multiple tapes either in parallel or in series.
  • Choice of image storage: Any combination of LTO Ultrium, DLT or DAT drives, in standard or autoloader configuration, may be specified.

  • Virtually unattended operation: With auto-loading tape drives, the operator only needs to remove and write protect the media when image is complete or when prompted for next batch of media.
  • Progress and status reporting: The software provides an on-screen progress display and a printable status report is generated for audit purposes.
  • Assured data security: Encrypted Security Token technology ensures reliable and secure imaging.
  • Anti-repudiation facility: CRC32 and MD5 checksums generated during the imaging process allow the image to be validated at any time.
  • Flexibility: Vogon's Imaging Systems can be configured to individual requirements and have an extensive upgrade path.
  • Technical Support: A dedicated support team at Vogon will provide email and/or telephone support to ensure any technical issues are handled promptly and effectively.
  • Training: Full training on the use of Vogon products is available at Vogon's training centres in UK and Germany, or may be arranged at client's training facility.
